in the grass, your cheek
obscured by an outstretched arm
like a pale marshmallow hidden
beneath a trail of vanilla custard
or a drizzle of apricot purée.
Your horizontal nakedness and the Milky Way, aligned
mirror the two halves of a banana sundae.
The lustre of your elongated body
enhanced in the shimmering moonlight.
Liquid contours running down your arm,
over your creamy buttocks, along your calves,
ankles, the soles of your feet
to those lifelike toes. Your skin
as pure as a digital peach
preserved in high resolution.
The light unchanging,
forever in perfect exposure.
Your next breath
never quite drawn.
