The first Brush With Poetry for 2018 will be on Sunday 25 March. Always exciting, always different. Brush With Poetry offers an afternoon of open mic entertainment in the relaxed surrounds of Yvette Gilroy’s Black Swan Gallery and Café. You can find the Black Swan in Stephen Street, Binalong, New South Wales.

The afternoon is sure to feature a mix of poetic styles and genres, including traditional and contemporary voices. It’s not unusual for a musical performance to be included as well. MCs for the afternoon will be Robyn Sykes and myself. Robyn is an award-winning bush poet with a passion for entertaining. Please arrive at 1:30 pm for a 2:00 pm start. Coffee, cake and wine can be purchased and, for those who wish to arrive earlier, a light lunch will be available.

Brush With Poetry is a free open mic event, though donations are appreciated. The event is held on the last Sunday of March, May, July, September and November.
