The next Brush With Poetry open mic afternoon will take place at the Black Swan wine bar and gallery in Binalong, New South Wales on Sunday, 27 May 2018. The event is free, though donations are appreciated.

Please arrive at 1:30pm for a 2:00pm start. Wine, coffee and cake will be available and, for those who arrive early, a light lunch can be served.

In addition to the usual mix of poetic styles, and occasional musical performances, the next Brush With Poetry will feature the launch of Thoughts, Rorts and Farming Sorts by the Binalong Bard, Robyn Sykes. Copies of the book and CD can be obtained from Robyn’s website.

As well as being the convenor of Brush With Poetry, Robyn is an award-winning bush poet and performance poet, so her presentations are always entertaining. Victoria McGrath, well known poet from Yass, will be on hand to conduct the official launch of Thoughts, Rorts and Farming Sorts. Victoria will present some of her own work as part of the open mic session.
