Brush With Poetry will offer another great afternoon of open mic poetry on Sunday 30 September 2018.

Please take note, though, the event has a new venue. Brush With Poetry will now take place at Café On Queen, located at 15 Queen Street, Binalong, New South Wales.

Café On Queen is an old building with lots of character providing various rooms and eating places. If it’s a sunny day it’s delightful to eat outside in the garden. If it’s cold there’s a wood heater in the back room or reverse cycle in the front room. There’s a wood heater in the studio where the poetry will be held. The café opens at 9:00am and will be serving food any time after that. A full café menu is available including coffee, cake and lunch options.

As always, Brush With Poetry will kick off at 2:00pm so please arrive around 1:30pm, or earlier if you would like to have lunch.

Brush With Poetry is convened by award-winning performance poet, Robyn Sykes, and includes a mix of traditional bush poetry, contemporary poetry and sometimes music as well – all in a relaxed, friendly environment.

Brush With Poetry is organised by the Binalong Arts Group. Entry is free, though donations are appreciated.
