Coming Soon: Haiku Down Under 2022

Haiku Down Under 2022 is a three-day Zoom conference being organised to connect poets from Australia, New Zealand and beyond. The event will run from Friday 7 October to Sunday 9 October 2022.

The Haiku Down Under website can be found here. The site provides details of the conference programme and background information about the organisers and each of the presenters.

You will need to register on the conference website by 5 October in order to obtain the Zoom link and participate in the conference. Registration can be carried out here.

As you can see from the programme, topics covered will include haiku, haibun, rengay and haiga. Among other things, there will be discussion on how to conduct a ginko, and a workshop aimed at encouraging young poets to write haiku. Times have been allocated to allow poets from around the world to chat and socialise.

Speakers on the first day will include Ron C. Moss from Australia, Alan Summers from England and Michael Dylan Welch from the USA so you can see Haiku Down Under will be a quality event. Please register and join the first virtual haiku conference organised in Australia and New Zealand.

Meanwhile, I invite you to explore a couple of my haiku relating to the natural world Down Under. These haiku relate to New Zealand fauna and Australian fauna respectively:
