A Brush With Poetry is always great entertainment, and this afternoon’s selection of poetry and music was no exception. Binalong poets, and Brush With Poetry organisers, Lizz Murphy and Robyn Sykes create a friendly, welcoming atmosphere for those performing, while the Black Swan’s Yvette Gilroy serves up the meals, cakes and drinks.

Today’s Brush With Poetry incorporated the last event in the series of Poetry, Prose, Place workshops and readings that Lizz and Robyn have been running during the year, with many poets performing work on that theme. In all, some 15 people read poems, recited poems or performed songs  for the crowd during the afternoon.

A Brush With Poetry is held at the Black Swan Gallery and Café in Binalong every second month (but not January). The next Brush With Poetry will be held on the last Sunday in March 2017.
